Wolves Bass Fishing Sweeping Method
Join me on a little outing where I catch bass in a most unconventional way. I call it ‘Sweeping’ and in this episode of ‘Another Walk with Mike’ you’ll discover how exciting this method can be. I came up with the technique after having bass hit my buzz bait just as I was pulling it out of the water. Finally, after one such strike I pushed my pole back in the water and Bam! A method was born. Similiar to doodlesocking or jigger pole Fishing, sweeping is best done from a kayak. Watch my video and see for yourself. It is as exciting as it can be. Terry Hearn: Carp Fishing
Terry Hearn is quite possibly the most famous carp angler in the UK. Fishing the estate lake at Eynsham Hall in Oxford he shows just why he appears to catch more carp than anyone else….providing he can get past the tench. After a couple of tinca’s took his bait, right at the death a lovely 20lb+ mirror carp came along to appear in front of the cameras.

Fishing for Hummers
Retrieving a Hummer from the bottom of a frozen lake in North Dakota…
Uncle Frank was out ice Fishing with his family and they drove over a part of the lake that has warm springs under it(there were no markings or warnings) and the front end went through the ice. Frank and his family were able to get out quickly before the entire thing went through the ice narrowly escaping.
Thankfully no one was hurt but it was a close call.
2 days later he had to return to get the Hummer from the bottom of the lake. It is the law that you must retrieve the vehicle. It was covered by insurance.
We had no idea how to get a vehicle from the bottom of a frozen lake so I went along to document it. It was quite a process as you will see.
I am used to living in Los Angeles so I had a lot of trouble being in that extreme cold.
Grandpa was drilling holes to ice fish while we waited and he worked up quite a sweat.

Attack of the killer carp? It’s true; these fish actually jump out of the water and attack people. My mom sent me this video, which was on the CBS Evening News (she works there), and it’s absolutely hilarious.

Killer Whale eats King Salmon caught on fishing line
My brothers co worker is Fishing in Alaska, everyone would think this is a fish story but it is true. He caught an estimated 50 lb kingsalmon when an Orca- killer whale bit the fish in half 15 feet from the boat.

Going To Work! Giant Goliath Grouper Jewfish Chew On This

His rod snaps in two and he has to land the fish by hand. The Goliath he lands is nearly 8 foot long and an estimated 600 pounds.

RC Helicopter FISHING! Dave tries hand at “Heli Fishing”
For you skeptics who say the fish was dead, I assure you it wasn’t dead.
That said, I still risked my E-Flite Blade 400 for some entertainment for you
(I used 3 batteries, hence the cut) as fun and challenging for me.
I doubt most others would risk their $450 heli just to hover over the water, let alone dangle a line!
This scenario shows it may be possible to use the Helicopter for Fishing, however it would be expensive fishing.
It is always terribly windy here, so on this calm day, those simple waves in the water was of no concern to a sunfish!
It also helps to have lots of fish, like in our Sand Pit Pond where they bite on hooks with no bait! (actually I used fish eggs and the hook 24″ from the bobber.
Hey, you never know, if you don’t try!
***Caution from past experience***
If the Tail rotor hits the water even slightly, it will immediately cause a crash.
Big fish can drain batteries fast. It takes and hour to charge between flights of only 6 minutes, so this could be a long process to catch a fish.
Sunfish are not big fighters.
